Eijffinger is a brand from Netherlands that makes outspoken and colourful designs for wallpaper. The brand has been around for 145 years. Eijffinger started out selling both decorative embroidery and wallpaper but the demand for wallpaper turned out to be the largest. It was a popular way to brighten up walls; the use of coal and peat fires made it necessary to replace wallpaper on a yearly basis. Within less than a year after starting their business the Eijffingers turned to wallpaper exclusively.
